Whether you are an arts and cultural development worker, dancer, festival director, jeweller, visual artist, curator, musician, performer, writer, or anything new and in between, council wants to hear from you.
In keeping with council’s vision for a healthy, smart, and creative region, the Sunshine Coast Arts Advisory Board, together with council, is developing a 20 year Regional Arts and Cultural Plan for the region.
Arts Advisory Board Chair Collette Brennan said their aim was to create an inspired vision of arts and culture on the Sunshine Coast.
“The data we have, together with the research we are currently doing, including this survey, will feed into the development of a contemporary, sophisticated and comprehensive strategy that will provide the framework necessary to support and nurture an environment in which arts and culture on the Sunshine Coast can flourish,” Ms Brennan said.
Arts Portfolio Councillor Rick Baberowski encouraged all artists and creative practitioners across the region to complete the short survey.
“We are in a period of very dynamic opportunity and the Cultural Mapping Survey will help us to identify the current arts and cultural practices represented on the Coast and where they are located,” Cr Baberowski said.
“If you’re a coast creative, please dive in and help us complete this vital piece of mapping.
“It will really help us to identify opportunities and assist with planning for the future of arts and culture on the coast.
“The survey will only take a couple of minutes for you to complete, and your input now will have a lasting impact on arts and culture in our region well in to the future.”

The survey will close on March 10, 2017.
